about me
March 19, 2007
My name is Philip Kafka. I am currently working on a philosophy degree at Northwestern University. My interests include: thinking, writing, discovering, uncovering, dancing, music (esp. electronic and tribal beats), socializing, chess and industrial design.
The purpose of this blog is to share my experiences so that others can either avoid or try to participate in some of them.
Be warned – I look at the world in a weird way. As a philosophy major, I not only analyze what I see, taste, hear and touch; but also explore the feelings and thoughts that those acts evoke.
You might often find me babbling about why I like the way something looks rather than just telling you what looks good.
Overall, I would recommend this blog to those who seek unique experiences. My objective with exploration is not to find the places that make people say “wow, this place is awesome,” but rather to discover places that make people wonder “wow, how did you find this place?”
If you like what you just read, you will enjoy this blog. I must admit, the content will be random – but like most unpredictable things, it will also be exciting.
